
Airfed Abrasive Blasting Helmet Model ‘KU-2’ : The helmet hood is of FRP for light weight and high strength. The hood is covered with rubber for damping impact of flying abrasive media. The vision window has a wire mesh as major protection and also has replaceable transparent inner and outer visor. Replaceable / washable inner cape is also provided. The helmet has a air connection to maintain positive pressure which provides dust free environment.
Helmet Air Breather : This is installed in between compressed air hose line originating from fitting of the Portable Abrasive Blaster to the operators helmet. Activated charcoal is contained in the breather unit which separates the oil traces from the compressed air and clean compressed air is fed to the operators helmet.
Helmet Air Conditioners : Air from the air breather is fed to the Helmet Air Conditioner and air is conditioned before it is fed to the helmet for breathing. It is provided with a belt and normally fastened on operator’s waist. It has also a regulator knob so that the operator can regulate the temperature of air fed to helmet. It is basically a ‘Vortex’ tube where air is whirled and air is divided into cool and hot air. It is self driven and does not need external power.
Rubber Hand Gloves : These are made of rubber and has anti-static properties. Hand gloves protects the operator’s hand against flying abrasives and static charge if any.
Gum Booths : These are rubber boots used by the operator to protect the feet from dust and flying abrasives.
Operator Suit : This is a special type one piece protective clothing for operator. On wearing, operator is covered and protected fully against flying abrasive.
